We continue revisiting previously released Morning Meditation episodes — creating space to listen again, linger longer, and notice what God may be speaking through familiar words.
This week we return to Psalm 13, where David brings an honest question before God:
“How long?”
How long will this pain last?
How long will the waiting continue?
How long until things change?
In this meditation, you are invited to bring your own “how long” questions into God’s presence without fear or shame. To acknowledge the ache of waiting while gently opening your heart to the goodness of God.
As you listen, you are invited to slow down.
To notice where weariness has settled in.
To consider what it means to trust God’s love even when answers seem delayed.
Because God is not absent in the waiting.
His timing is not rushed.
His mercy has not failed.
His goodness remains steady, even here.
“But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise…”
— 2 Peter 3:8-9
There is space in this Psalm for honesty, sorrow, hope, and trust. David begins with lament, but ends remembering the faithful love of God.
