We continue revisiting previously released Morning Meditation episodes — creating space to listen again, linger longer, and notice what God may be speaking through familiar words.
This week we return to Psalm 12, where we are invited to consider the power of words — the words spoken around us, the words we speak to others, and even the quiet words we speak to ourselves.
In this meditation, you are gently guided to notice the difference between words that wound and words that bring life. To reflect on the ways language can discourage, divide, comfort, heal, and restore.
As you listen, you are invited to slow down.
To pay attention to your inner dialogue.
To consider the kind of words shaping your heart and mind.
Because words matter.
They carry power.
They reveal what is happening within us.
And God’s Word continues to speak truth in the middle of every competing voice.
Unlike the empty promises of the world, God’s words are trustworthy, refining, life-giving, and true.
God’s Word never returns void. It does its work. Accomplishes all it sets out to do.
“The words of the Lord are pure words,
like silver refined in a furnace on the ground,
purified seven times.”
— Psalm 12:6
