The God Who Hears You: Psalm 5 Morning Meditation

For the month of February, we are returning to previously released Morning Meditation episodes — creating space to listen again, linger longer, and notice God’s love in familiar words.

This week, we return to Psalm 5 and the invitation to bring our honest prayers to a God who truly listens.

Psalm 5 begins with honesty.
Not polished prayers.
Not spiritual performance.
But groaning. Need. Longing.

This meditation invites you to reflect:

Who truly hears you?
Who pays close attention to your heart?
Who supports you when you feel weak?

And beneath those questions —
Can you trust that God does?

David lays his requests before the Lord and waits expectantly.
Not because life is easy.
But because God is attentive.

As you listen, notice what rises in you.

Where are you being invited to find strength in God instead of striving on your own?
Where might forgiveness loosen your grip?
Where could you release judgment?
Who is God inviting you to lift up in prayer today?

We lay our hearts before Him.
We receive His steady love.
We allow that love to shape how we see others.

The God who hears you
is forming you.
